FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance. Not accepting insurance allows me to be more flexible in my approach and keep my costs down. This means I can invest more of my time on you rather than going back and forth with insurance companies.

What is my child’s diagnosis?

I will work with you and your child to develop tools that work for you with an honest, solution-oriented approach. Often, what kids need is not another label or diagnosis, but empowerment to reach their full potential. Let’s go on a learning journey with your child, together.

Do you help with medication?

I will not recommend or prescribe medication. However, with your consent, I will work with your physician by providing clinical information and observations to assist in medication management.

How much do you charge?

I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone. I accommodate financial and scheduling challenges by blending office visits, video sessions and out of session homework. Fees range from $100-125/hour, depending on the service model.

What is a Whole-System approach?

All individuals are part of a larger complex network. Therefore when using a systemic approach I am addressing not only the presenting problem of the client ,but also the dysfunctional or functional behaviors, attitudes and beliefs of their relationships. By understanding the origin and the complexities that feed into “problem” we can arrive at treatment methods that are effective and lasting.

What are your specialities?

I accept a wide range of clients with unique and diverse needs and am always willing to discuss and assess for a good fit.  I specialize in working with teens, young adults, parents, and families that are struggling through bouts of instability associated with stressors in the environment or ongoing mental health issues.
